New Algeria-Russia link forged

Algeria and Russia have officially launched a new Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Council of the Nation, creating a fresh platform for high-level dialogue and legislative exchange.
The move, announced this Tuesday, is designed to act as a bridge between the two nations, allowing representatives to coordinate their stances on the world stage. Rabah Beghali, Vice-President of the Council, noted that the group is more than just a formal committee; it is a “strategic mechanism” to sync up on international issues and share law-making expertise.
Russian embassy officials welcomed the initiative, highlighting the vital role parliaments play in modern diplomacy. By opening these direct channels, both countries aim to deepen a partnership that already carries significant weight in regional and global affairs.
