President Tebboune shakes up energy and mining leadership

Today, Abdelmadjid Tebboune carried out a ministerial reshuffle, introducing new appointments in strategic sectors.

Mohamed Arkab was named Minister of State and Minister of Energy, while Mourad Hanifi was appointed Minister of Mines and Mining Industries. In addition, Karima Tafer was designated Secretary of State to the Minister of Mines and Mining Industries.

The reshuffle reflects a renewed focus on strengthening Algeria’s energy and mining sectors, key pillars of the national economy.
