41,000 Algerian pilgrims begin sacred journey to Arafat

More than 41,000 Algerian pilgrims began their journey Monday morning from Mecca to Mount Arafat, marking the start of the most significant rituals of the 1447H/2026 Hajj season.

Supported by Algeria’s Hajj mission, the massive operation mobilized over 800 buses and teams deployed across 55 hotels to ensure smooth and safe transportation under Saudi coordination. Special care was also dedicated to elderly pilgrims and people with special needs through medical support, field assistance, and adapted transport services.

The Algerian mission continues round-the-clock efforts to guarantee pilgrims complete their spiritual journey in the best possible conditions.
