A Night to keep Andalusian classics alive

Opéra d’Algiers Boualem Bessaih is set to host a special tribute concert this Saturday honoring legendary classical singer Cheikh Abdelkrim Dali, nearly five decades after his passing.

Held under the theme “Cheikh Abdelkrim Dali… Through Time,” the evening will bring together artists including Leïla Borsali, Abdelwahab Djezouli and young winners of the Abdelkrim Dali prize in a celebration blending heritage with modern performance.

Organizers say the event, held during Heritage Month, aims to keep Algeria’s Andalusian musical legacy from fading into the background and reconnect younger generations with one of the country’s richest artistic traditions.
