Algeria and Niger ministers meet for local and transport talks


Algeria and Niger reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation during a high-level meeting held Tuesday at the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport.
The Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, received Niger’s Minister of State and Minister of Interior, Public Security and Territorial Administration, Mohamed Toumba, who is leading a working visit to Algeria at the head of a senior delegation.
The Nigerien delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, the Minister of Energy, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Petroleum, reflecting the broad scope of discussions between the two sides.
The meeting underscores the growing momentum in Algerian-Nigerien relations, with both countries seeking to enhance coordination on security, development, and energy cooperation in the Sahel region.
