Algeria Eyes Booming Tourism Growth

 

Algeria is likely to make a hit by eyeing more than 12 milions tourisms by 2030. This new bet from Site-seeing   peoples, aim at completing  an up-coming mega project  Algeria has set a clear goal in this direction,  by  positioning tourism as a driving key of its economic development. In recent years, initiatives have intensified to promote the country’s rich natural, cultural, and historical heritage, long overlooked by international tourism.

To boost its global visibility, Algeria has actively participated in major international travel fairs, including the MITT in Moscow and Place2Go in Zagreb, as part of a broader strategy led by the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts. Domestically, the government is investing in new tourist zones, renovating high-potential sites, developing leisure parks, and promoting alternative lodging options like homestays.

In the wake of new dynamic, the worldwide attention has triggered scores of investment deals.This dynamic has . The British daily The Sun recently described Algeria as an “unexplored gem,” highlighting attractions such as Ottoman palaces, the Casbah of Algiers, the Ghoufi canyon, and the Sahara. Improved air connections, including new direct flights between London and Algiers, have further strengthened Algeria’s accessibility.

With around 4.million visitors in 2023 half from the diaspora Algeria aims to overcome remaining hurdles so to ramp up  as a well known adress   on the world tourism map by 2030.
