Algeria reopens cultural hub in Cairo

Algeria has officially inaugurated a new cultural presence in the heart of Cairo, marking a fresh step in strengthening cultural ties between Algeria and Egypt.

On Thursday evening, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf opened the new headquarters of the Algerian Cultural Center in the Egyptian capital, during the final stop of his visit to the country, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The reopening of the center is part of broader presidential instructions aimed at revitalizing Algeria’s cultural institutions abroad and giving new momentum to cultural exchange and cooperation.

Officials say the move is also intended to boost Algeria’s cultural visibility in Egypt, reinforce the historic ties between the two nations, and strengthen connections with the Algerian community living there.

The center is expected to serve as a hub for cultural activities and a bridge between the two peoples.
