Algeria, Türkiye expand strategic economic cooperation

Several major economic agreements were signed Thursday in the Turkish capital, Ankara, during the Algerian-Turkish Business Forum, as both countries reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger strategic partnership.
Co-chaired by Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, and Türkiye’s Trade Minister, Ömer Bolat, the forum highlighted efforts to raise bilateral trade to $10 billion and expand cooperation in promising sectors including renewable energy, banking, agriculture, and infrastructure. The event comes as part of the official visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Türkiye, where he is set to co-chair the first session of the Algerian-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
