Attaf heads to Seoul for Africa-Korea summit talks

Representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, arrived in Seoul on Sunday to participate in the Africa-Korea Ministerial Meeting taking place on June 1 and 2.

The gathering will bring together African foreign ministers and their South Korean counterpart to assess progress made since the inaugural Africa-Korea Summit held in 2024, while exploring new avenues for cooperation and preparing future milestones for the partnership.

For Algeria, the meeting offers an opportunity to strengthen ties with South Korea and support a partnership that can drive investment, technology transfer, and sustainable development across the African continent. As Africa seeks to accelerate the goals of Agenda 2063, closer cooperation with economic and technological partners such as South Korea could help unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.
