BEM 2026 begins Tuesday under tight organization and security

On the eve of the 2026 middle school certificate exams (BEM), Education Minister Mohamed Seghir Sadaoui chaired a nationwide meeting with education officials to review the final organizational, pedagogical, and security preparations ahead of Tuesday’s launch.

The minister praised the coordination involved in securing exam papers and preparing exam and correction centers, stressing the need for constant monitoring throughout the examination period.

Officials across the country, including in remote provinces, confirmed that all centers are fully ready, with transportation, accommodation, meals, and security measures in place for both students and supervisors.

Special instructions were also issued to ensure proper care for hospitalized candidates and students staying in boarding facilities, guaranteeing equal conditions for all examinees.

The ministry also confirmed that the national teacher recruitment competition is progressing on schedule, with results to be announced nationwide on the same day to ensure fairness and transparency.

With all preparations finalized, Algeria now enters one of the country’s most important academic moments of the year.
