BEM exams Kick Off Nationwide
More than 877,000 Algerian middle school students officially began the 2026 BEM exams on Tuesday, as Education Minister Mohamed Seghir Sadaoui launched the national session from El Djelfa.
The exams, running from May 19 to 21, are being held in 3,167 centers nationwide, with over 214,000 staff members mobilized to supervise the operation.
During his visit, the minister is also expected to inspect and inaugurate several education facilities in Djelfa and Aïn Oussera, as authorities continue efforts to strengthen school infrastructure across the country.
