Cash insurance expands into agricultural risk coverage

Starting next June, “Cash Insurance” will begin marketing new insurance contracts dedicated to agricultural risks, in a move aimed at diversifying its services and expanding its coverage, the company’s CEO, Widad Belhouchat, announced on Wednesday in Sétif.

Speaking on the sidelines of a professional meeting titled “Risks and Performance: Anticipation, Insurance and Management,” Ms. Belhouchat said this strategic shift reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, given its key role in the national economy.

She stressed that insurance is no longer just a compensation tool after damage, but a real partner in protecting activity, reducing losses, and ensuring business continuity. The initiative, she added, aims to provide farmers and investors with broader coverage to help them better manage risks and sustain their activities.

The meeting brought together professionals, clients, and economic actors from several eastern wilayas, and focused on improving risk management and strengthening sustainable performance within companies. Discussions also highlighted key themes such as risk indicators, workplace health and safety, and the challenges facing modern enterprises, alongside workshops on project risks, operational risks, vehicle insurance, and logistics risks.
