DRC Bloodbath: UN sounds alarm on civilian carnage

Escalating attacks in eastern DRC are a horror show dozens dead daily, fields turned killing grounds, and thousands fleeing for their lives. UN spox Farhan Haq slammed the fresh wave Friday: 34 civilians butchered in three days across Ituri and North Kivu, per OCHA reports.
Ituri’s Irumu and Mambasa took the brunt 15 killed Tuesday-Thursday, forcing mass flight to North Kivu neighbors. Oicha saw 19 more slaughtered near the border by armed thugs targeting farmers; many still missing.
Since mid-March, Mambasa’s toll hits 130 dead, 500+ kidnapped. Over 68,000 displaced there and into Tshopo; Beni-Lubero camps swell by 310,000. Aid teams scramble for urgent needs, but UN demands all sides halt civilian hits and honor humanitarian law now. Lives hang in the balance.
