Major drug busts lead to multiple arrests in Algeria

Algerian national security services, in coordination with customs authorities, have seized more than 34 kilograms of cocaine and over 17 kilograms of processed “kif” in two separate operations carried out in Djelfa and Laghouat.

Authorities also arrested 14 suspects and recovered nearly 1.14 billion centimes believed to be linked to illegal trafficking activities.

The suspects are expected to appear before prosecutors at the specialized judicial pole of Sidi M’hamed and the court of Rouiba as investigations continue.
