National deaf sports kicks off in Ain Benian

The coastal breeze of Aïn Benian is setting the stage for a weekend of intense focus and elite skill as the National Deaf Sports Championship kicks off this Thursday.
Over 90 top-tier athletes from 20 different clubs are descending on Algiers, all having fought their way through grueling regional qualifiers to earn their spot in the finals. From May 14 to 16, the quiet intensity of the chessboard will meet the high-speed reflexes of table tennis and the precision of petanque in a showcase of pure athletic talent.
This show stand as a National showdown organized by the Algerian Deaf Sports Federation in a major collaboration with local sports authorities and the Algiers Chess League. By bringing together the best competitors from five regions, the tournament highlights the rising standard of deaf sports in the country.
