New Hadj relief measures for Algerian pilgrims

The Algerian Hadj mission’s Fatwa and Guidance Committee has introduced special measures for this year’s pilgrimage in Mecca, allowing elderly pilgrims, sick people, pregnant women and their companions to skip overnight stays in Mina and delegate the stoning ritual to others.
The decision comes as authorities expect massive crowds and difficult conditions in Mina during the Days of Tashreeq. The committee said the move aims to protect pilgrims’ safety and dignity, while encouraging healthy worshippers to support vulnerable pilgrims and prioritize the collective good.
