San Francisco welcomes a new Algerian consulate

Algeria is officially expanding its reach to the West Coast. In a move to better serve its citizens abroad, Secretary of State Sofiane Chaib inaugurated the new Consulate General of Algeria in San Francisco this week.
This new diplomatic hub is designed to bring administrative services closer to the Algerian community living in the United States. Covering 19 Western states, the office aims to provide high-quality consular support and strengthen the bond between the diaspora and their home country.
By cutting down travel times and streamlining paperwork, the San Francisco opening marks a major milestone in Algeria’s global effort to prioritize its citizens, no matter how far they are from Algiers..
