Tebboune honors journalists on world press freedom day

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune led a national ceremony in Algiers on Monday marking World Press Freedom Day, paying tribute to journalists and media professionals across the country.

The event, held at the International Conference Center (CIC) Abdelatif Rahal, brought together senior state officials, government members, media executives, and journalists from television, radio, print, and digital outlets.

The ceremony underscored the role of the press in informing the public and shaping national debate, as Algeria joined the global observance of press freedom and the importance of independent journalism.
