President Tebboune mourns renowned scholar and freedom fighter

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday expressed his condolences following the passing of Sheikh Si El Hadj Mohand Taïeb, a respected freedom fighter, religious scholar, and one of Algeria’s prominent cultural figures.

In a message of sympathy, the President paid tribute to the late scholar’s lifelong service to the nation, highlighting his contribution to the translation of the meanings of the Holy Qoran into Tamazight.

Tebboune extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the revolutionary community, praising a man remembered for his dedication to Algeria’s history, identity, and cultural heritage.
