Transport ensured for Ouargla’s BEM candidates

In Ouargla a major relief for thousands of parents across the region, local authorities have mobilized a massive logistics network to ensure students from remote areas face no hurdles during the ongoing BEM (Middle School Education Certificate) exams this May 2026.
At least 1,554 candidates living in distant zones including Hassi Miloud, El Borma, and N’goussa are benefiting from dedicated free school buses designed to eliminate the stress of long commutes. To guarantee absolute security and efficiency, the Directorate of Education has also deployed a fleet of 42 support vehicles to safely transport exam papers and center directors across the region .
For parents watching their children take this crucial academic step, the initiative provides invaluable peace of mind. This year, Ouargla is managing a total of 10,047 candidates distributed across 38 examination centers, fully supported by a dedicated staff of 2,444 educators and observers.
Local authorities officially launched the exam period this morning at the Abdelhamid Ben Badis middle school, welcoming 200 students into prepared classrooms. By taking care of the roads and the logistics, the community has ensured that these young students can focus entirely on what matters most: their success.
