Discover who makes up Algeria’s 24.7M voter list?

Algeria’s National Independent Authority for Elections announced that, after the latest exceptional revision of electoral lists, the number of registered voters has reached 24,727,041 ahead of the July 2 legislative elections.
Of this total, 23,872,756 are inside the country, while 854,285 are members of the diaspora abroad.
By gender, the electorate includes 13,255,949 men and 11,471,091 women.
By age group:
- 1.27 million voters are aged 18–24
- 7.09 million are aged 25–39
- 16.36 million are aged 40 and above
The revision also added and adjusted registrations, including:
- 291,584 new voters registered for the first time
- 27,234 young citizens added upon reaching voting age
- 223,928 voters re-registered after changing residence
- 263,689 removals due to relocation
- 52,554 deletions due to death
- 2,522 removals for loss of voting rights
Compared to the previous figure of 24.50 million voters, the electorate has slightly increased, setting the stage for the upcoming parliamentary vote.
