Zahra Tatar delivers Algeria’s first gold in Accra

Zahra Tatar secured Algeria’s first gold medal at the African Senior Athletics Championships in Accra after winning the women’s hammer throw event.

The Algerian record holder, coached by Hakim Toumi, continues to shine after setting a national best of 70.82m earlier this year. Algeria is taking part in the continental competition, running from May 12 to 17 in Ghana, with a delegation of 10 athletes competing across several track and field events.
