Algerian PM Begins Official Visit to Niger

Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb arrived in Niger on Wednesday on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and partnership between the two neighboring countries.
Welcomed in Niamey by Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine, Ghrieb held talks focused on boosting cooperation across key sectors and advancing shared interests.
During the visit, the two leaders will inaugurate the 40-megawatt Gorou Banda power plant in Niamey, a strategic energy project donated by Algeria to support Niger’s electricity production and improve power supply for its population.
Ghrieb is also scheduled to meet Niger’s President, Abdourahamane Tiani, as both countries seek to deepen economic ties, regional integration, and long-standing relations built on solidarity and mutual respect.
