BAC 2026 : New access hours for candidates

With thousands of students preparing for one of the most important tests of their academic journey, Algeria’s Ministry of Education has announced earlier opening hours for baccalaureate exam centers ahead of the 2026 session.

Candidates will now be allowed to enter exam centers from 7:15 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. for morning sessions, while afternoon access will begin at 1:45 p.m. rather than 2:00 p.m. The exam schedule itself remains unchanged.

The ministry also renewed its warning against bringing mobile phones or electronic devices into exam centers, urging candidates to hand them over upon arrival to avoid penalties.

Officials called on all participants to respect the rules and procedures in place, stressing that the measures are designed to ensure a smooth, transparent and fair examination process for every candidate.
