Election authority delivers preliminary results

The President of the Constitutional Court, Leila Aslaoui, on Tuesday received the Acting President of the National Independent Election Authority, Karim Khalfan, accompanied by members of the Authority’s council, who officially submitted the preliminary results of the legislative elections held on July 2.

The handover included the official vote-counting and ballot tabulation records, in line with the legal procedures governing the electoral process, ahead of the Constitutional Court’s announcement of the final election results in accordance with the applicable electoral laws.
