Election authority set to reveal new parliament today

Algeria’s independent election authority is scheduled to release the provisional results of the country’s recent legislative elections on Monday afternoon, officials said.

The National Independent Electoral Authority (ANIE) announced that the results for the election of the People’s National Assembly the lower house of parliament will be made public starting at 2:00 PM local time.

According to an official statement, the announcement will be delivered during a press conference led by ANIE’s acting chairman, Karim Khalfan. The briefing is set to take place at the “Abdelatif Rahal” International Conference Center (CIC) in the capital city of Algiers.

The provisional data follows the national vote held on July 2, 2026, which is being closely watched as a gauge of public engagement and political stability in the North African nation.
