Koléa opens new recreational forest as a refreshing summer escape

Families in Koléa, Tipasa , have a new destination to unwind this summer with the opening of the “5 July 1962” Recreational Forest, a green space designed for leisure, relaxation and outdoor activities.
Inaugurated on July 5 during celebrations marking Algeria’s Independence and Youth Day, the former Bouamra pine forest has been transformed into a family-friendly retreat just a short distance from the city. The site offers easy access, parking facilities and security, providing visitors with a safe and comfortable environment.
The forest features shaded picnic areas, walking paths and a children’s amusement zone with bumper cars, carousels, trampolines and inflatable games. A snack bar serves refreshments, while additional attractions and a restaurant are expected to open soon.
Open daily from 10 a.m. until midnight throughout the summer, the recreational forest offers a cool alternative to the beach, thanks to refreshing Mediterranean breezes and its peaceful natural setting. The new site is expected to become one of Tipasa’s favorite family destinations during the summer season.
